It is definitely going to protect my device from scratches, and the quality of the fit is amazing. I also like the feel of it in my hand, much more pleasant and less slippery than the metal backs of most devices.

Ebony Wood Uses
He loves it but wasn't able to use the face wood veneers,only the back and sides. The face veneer covered the windows key and didn't exactly align with the camera/ light sensor/ speaker at the top of the surface. Other than that he loves it!

When I bought my Surface Pro 4 a year ago, I also purchased a clear skin for the backside. It didn't last very long before the corners started peeling from going in and out of my bag so often.

I then moved on to a 3m wood print, which was decent, but it looked a bit tacky up close, and the corners did start to peel. Now the Toast cover, it's amazing. It barely adds any thickness, it feels great in your hands and does not pick up smudges like the plastic covers I had in the past.
It's also very ridged, so no peeling so far. Everyone that sees it always compliments how it looks, and I like it so much I ordered one for my MacBook Pro and my iPad. Since it is adhesive backed, it doesn't allow for dirt to get between it and the device resulting in pitting, which is perfect. It also smells nice, and who doesn't love that woody smell! I recommend this cover to everyone I see with an exposed device. It's awesome.

When I recieved the product, the 5 character 'large' text I requested was maybe an inch long. Possibly I should have entered through the 'custom' order page where I can supply my own graphic? Website was very unclear and didn't offer that option if I started from selecting a surface. The recipient of the gift, loves the product, but the result wasn't what I expected.
