So the question is, we need to make our traffic anonymous as we are concerned about recent hacks and want to keep our development both secure and secret until its ready for release (open source)! What is the best free way to keep our traffic anonymous? I know how to do this in windows based platforms, and I do, but we want to move over to Linux and im a complete n00b lol So any help would be great!

Why the trafic should be anonymous? Just use strong encryption and share encrypted files. Use sha to check files for intergrity on download (i.e. That no one messed wiht the files on transfer). And yeah why all the secrecy if you plan on opening the source? The whole idea of opensource is that while you develop the source others can see it and contribute to your project (patches, imporvements.) tor only masks your IP not sure what good it would do here.

Yeah I completely understand the confusion, the program that's being developed is currently kept secret simply because it's rather early in development, yes I do understand what open source means but as the raspberry pi proves, open source doesn't mean that it can't generate profit, basically the worry here is, if the code becomes available then it's possible someone could release the platform before we do and we don't want to have wasted our time lol all I'm after is a basic free VPN service, iv tried both openvpn and pptp but both have a side effect of cutting off ssh and vnc to the device! All that said the program/platform isn't going to be sold to generate profit or even an income but I'm just saying there are some needs for secrecy at this stage! I will (when our team deem the Time right) actually release the software for people to test/develop it's just that time isn't now Hope that I don't come across as a cock lol I'm writing this on the go, so if I seem short, that's why haha Anyway, thanks for your time guys.
